Unless price is really an issue, try not to by a used bow.  The warranty usually won't transfer.  I bought mine from Archery Outfitters because they were very helpful for a newbie.  They also give you a pass for 3 sessions on their indoor/outdoor course to help you dial in your bow.  For a person that didn't really know #$*& before I bought a bow, they were more than helpful.  As far as brands of bow's go...its what ever trips your trigger.  Many bows out today seem to have their +/- in my opinion.  If it wasn't for friends steering me towards a Mathews, I probably would have bought a less expensive bow.  But I don't regret it now.

Got out this morning and hung another tree stand.  Thank god for the wind or the bugs would have carried me away.  The older I get the more I hate hanging stands.  Might have to buy more ladder stands and forget all the screw in steps and trying to posititon the hanging stand just right....What a pain in the #@$.

I got out last weekend on the opener, and filled one of my antlerless tags.  After I shot the doe, I had a nice buck go past my stand.  I already had one deer to take care of, so I didn't launch another arrow at the buck.  Hopefully I can see him again this weekend...  I only got one picture of him off my game camera prior to last weekend, and I attached it.  You can see the deer stand in the background...

I got a little better picture of the same buck that I didn't get a good shot at on the Archery opener, so I thought I would share it with you...

Nice deers pic!  Hope you get to let an arrow fly at him.  I haven't seen anything worth shooting besides freezer meat.  Man it has been too hot out lately.  Hard to get excited arrowing a deer and knowing that you have to immediately get her cut up or to a locker.

Husky Jerk, I hope you get another chance at that deer.  It has some impressive length to its main beams, looks like it probably has good width too.  My be a good contender for the top archery deer in my big buck contest.  Good luck man.

I havent seen many deer moving yet cuz its always to hot when i have a night off.

Anyone get out this weekend?  I have been too busy with work that past few days.  Hoping to get out later this week with the cool down in the weather.

The deer were really moving last night.  Had several does come past me with their fawns.  Had 3 bucks pass by close.  2 little dinks and one mature, heavy 3x3.  His mass was 30% bigger than the youngsters with him.  I took him.  His teeth were worn and looks like he was up there in age.
