Lake Vermillion

I know that most of you fish up north around Lake Thompson and Whitewood, but has anybody heard anything about Lake Vermillion?  I was thinking about going out and trying it this weekend but have never been there and wanted to get your guys opinion on it.  Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Haven't heard anything from Vermillion, but New Years Day, I've had a few buddies go to Lake Lakota by Canton and catch about a dozen perch and crappies each.  Claim to be using green and orange teardrops with waxies in 15 feet of water.
Remember, I'm pulling for ya.  We're all in this together.

I have always like the looks of that lake on the map.  Give a shot and let us know.  I know when I have stopped at that steak house bait shop there has always been lots of pics up with nice fish.  Not that the pics will help ya much, but gives you a little bit of big fish fever.

I have fished it a couple times with fair success. Its probably best at sunrise and sunset. I fished along the east campground just north of the culvert. Small eyes up 14" are common and crappies 12" plus. Not big numbers but fishable. I would be real careful right now as there is a lot of water flowing through from all the rain we have had lately.....
