Lake Thompson East Access
« on: July 31, 2010, 06:13:35 PM »
Looked like the state hired a contractor to grub out the trees that had growen around the High water ramp on the east access.
I would think within the week they should have the dock back in at the East Access

Here is another pic from last weekend of the east landing. Water was up to the 3rd concrete plank of the ramp.

That is crazy to see the lake that high!  I went to college in Brookings and remember being able to walk across the channel at Schaffers.  Anyone have any pics to the lake from the State Park?

Water was almost that high when I moved into my lakehouse in 98. Just as high again a year or two later when waves washed away 15 feet of my land and bent my 12 ft aluminum boat all to hell in a storm and the rad to Vantage point was covered with 6 inches of water for about 100 yards before the small hill..

Nice to see it so full again.  Wondered if it would ever happen again.  Does it flow out oldham culvert so that once inflow stop it will drop to below culvert level?   Wonder if state will put any perch into preston if its full?

icefishin, I would love to see that video of the water coming from Henry by the swim beach if you could figure out how to upload that!  I really need to make the 2 1/2 hour trip up there this fall to check it out!
