Fished the south pond on Sat.  Only 5 bites in about 3 hrs.  They bit on waxies and minnows with bright colored jigs.  I didn't see too many people catching fish when I was there.  The water was clearer than it was last weekend in the same spot.  I don't know how much that has to do with it but I did great there last weekend.

I saw about 6 groups coming off Whitewood use the cleaning room at the motel yesterday.  All had some Perch but none had more than a dozen.  Gold or Glow jigs with small minnows seems to be working best.  Good luck,  Bo

Great reports from there early but haven't heard much more except that the wind was blowing.

was on whitewood most of the day probably 30 rigs out there only say one guy catch 2 perch he also caught a couple of carp. we didnt even get a bite i will say the perch were nice. then went to a pond just south of l. vermillion and cought a doz bluegill all in about a 30min span on a black jig with waxies..i might try island tomorrow...

Fished SW Whitewood yesterday by boat ramp.  4 hours/6 minnows/2 Cokes/1 bite/ 0 fish.
