Fish locator + GPS

Do any of you guys use a lowrance 520c?  I just bought one and am thinking about taking it back because of some bad reviews I've read.  Also, if I take it back am wondering whether to go with lowrance or humminbird.  Any help would be appreciated.

I used to have a 520c until I upgraded to a new unit but I never had any problem with the unit the 3 years I used it.
