  Dry is really hit and miss .  Theres many variables and the fish are roaming .  Pick a steady weather period , and go on a sunny day .  Move around , if your in one spot more than 5 minutes with no fish , move move move....  It sounds like theres a lot of slush to contend with , but the perch are worth it ....

Highsparks- I was impressed by your perch the first time that I saw them- I'm even more impressed now that I just came back from the grocery store. "Wild caught Lake Perch" fillets were $14.99/lb. At least these were the real thing and not the Zander Perch that a lot of places are trying to pass off as the real thing ( they are good eating however) . At these prices you should probably take out some more coverage on your homeowners policy and maybe even consider a security system. Now it will be easier to convince my wife that it is my DUTY to go out and get some perch - or bluegills or walleye or-------. Thanks,  michfish
