   Theres nice perch and monster crappies in there .  I like to fish south of the peninsula that extends into the lake from the north.

I fished out there a couple times last year.  I started out about 50 yards south of the point, then went way back into that little bay area on the south end of the lake.  The only thing we saw was a crawdad.  Just about had him through the hole a couple times.  At least we were entertained.  This has been a pretty weak ice fishing season.  I'm ready to get the waders out.  Hopefully all the ol' hot spots aren't flooded.

But until then I will continue trying.  What else can a guy do?

   I hear ya , I have a trip to pikeral this weekend yet .  Its the True Ice championship sunday , gotta give it my best .  Then its close to home for me .  I think I am also ready for some open water fishing ....

My buddy has a cabin on Pickeral.  That's a great lake.  I haven't spent much time fishing it though.  Usually spend a lot of time skiing, barefooting, and tubing.  When the evening comes I like to make sure the Pickeral lake lodge doesn't have too much tea on hand.
