Starting to have good numbers of Snows in the area hanging on Preston and Thompson they are here.  Ducks still not seeing a lot of new ones but should be coming with next cold snap.

Shot this dandy this morning in a flooded bean field. He will be going on the wall.

What do you do with all those geese. Who cleans them? Goose jerky? How do you clean them? Argh, cleaning 3 is about my limit. Take longer to clean them than hunting them did. I've never intentionally hunted geese as I don't like the taste of duck or goose.

My buddy has a bird hitch that works really good for cleaning ducks and snows. Took 2 of us about half hour to clean all of them. Make a lot of jerky and ground up a ton of it. Use ground goose like hamburger and its really good. They make mean bbq goose sandwhiches!

Cool, that's not to bad. Never had BBQ goose burgers before. Hell, never knew there was such a thing. ;) I might even eat it that way.

We finally got a push of mallards down and we took advantage of the new birds. 3 of us filled our 15 mallard limit in under a half hour and could have had a 10 guy limit if we had the people. The ducks absolutely wanted it today with the snow and wind.
