Pheasant hunting started good, is going ok some good hunts some bad.  That should start to be more consistent as we are really starting to mow down the crops.  All the dumb ones r dead smart ones r hiding in the fields.  We get the crops out and they will have to go to somewhere public grasslands, waterways and places of the like.

Geese r starting to come thru saw good numbers of snows and blues over last few days and a few canadians as well.

Pheasant numbers are definately up just north of you guys.  Shot limits the past 2 weekends in about an hour.

Very spotty, yet.  As indicated before, where the crops are out, it is much better.  Birds don't have to leave the corn until dark.

Migration- Last week we had a 3 day stretch where the Snows and blues were coming thru fast and furious but did not stick and not many since.

Pheasants- Lot of corn came out over last week r seeing more birds again still pretty flighty we saw plenty yesterday that heavy wind worked to sneek up on em and they were staying hunkered most were in grass.

Boy the Pheasants were out in the fog this morning if shooting started at 7am instead of 10 would have been fun.

Pass shooting the 10 days been getting many geese, mostly Canada, but a few snows as well, a few ducks.  Saw a couple of the quill lake geese but they were out of range.  I amwaiting to get my swan tags in the mail, have seen a group in the area of Thompson for the last week on a regular basis.

I'm thinking about heading up to Thompson this weekend for some divers.  Anyone know if there are any good numbers of them aroun there or would it be a waist of time to make the drive?
