2011 Lake Thompson Ice Fishing Derby

Kingsbury County Ducks Unlimited is holding an Ice Derby on Lake Thompson Feb 5, 2011.
Be sure to thank The Bait Box and LP Motel for their Sponsorship!

Entry Fee is $20 per adult, $15 for 17 & Under (Price goes to $25 and $20 after Jan. 28, 2011)

Early Bird Registrants will be entered for a chance to use a Lodge Ice Shack for the Tournament.  Drawing will be held one week before the tournament.

Had a new donor put up $200 for biggest walleye on top of all other prizes.

Lake Thompson Ice Fishing Derby Boundaries are now available online.  www.fishinglakethompson.com - click on the Boundaries tab.

Also, Jan. 28th is the last day to enter for the reduced rate and have a chance to win the Early Bird Prize.  Entries must be recieved at North Shore Bar & Grille, The Bait Box, The General Store, Online or by Mail by the end of the day Jan. 28th to be eligible for the Early Bird drawing.

Last weekend you could stay on top with a 4 wheeler if you kept on it but we got around 10 inches of snow sunday night and monday. Mint be tough with a 4 wheeler in the fresh snow

The lake got quite a bit of snow. The folks at North Shore are plowing and blowing trails. They are cutting parking places for shacks. It is looking pretty good. Looks like a campground out here.

You can get around on the lake ok with an atv. A truck is about impossible off trail. Be sure to check the boundaries.
