What's the price of gas where you are?
« on: November 01, 2008, 07:55:41 AM »
Couldn't resist this one even if it makes me wrong about never seeing gas under 3 bucks again. I got gas for $2.18.9 yesterday and on the news last night the cheapest gas in a hundred mile area was over in Texas at $1.87.9 per gallon.

Leave it to Bush to fix the oil price problem by killing the world economy. Republicans are underhanded and sneaky. ;) Ah yes, remember the old days when what happened in other countries only affected those countries. Now Korea farts and Russian gold goes down. India burps and Japans stock market falls. Everything is now connected and has traceable connections. Farmers in SD can now sell directly to people in other countries. Interesting isn't it.

Hot damn, I might be able to afford some shiners now. ;)

Lol, I filled up to quick. Now it's down to $2.12 a gallon. Still a far cry from the 12 cents a gallon I paid during a gas war in Omaha in the 60's. OTOH, gas was only 17-19 cents a gallon elsewhere, at the time.

Would be nice to own a tanker to sell in Huron!

Cool, $1.78 down here. Saw on the news they expect oil to go below 40 bucks a barrel. My usual sentiment, screw OPEC, but this does prove the law of supply and demand works very well if you can keep speculators out of it.

Filled up the other day for $1.72 with store discount.  Couldn't believe it was less than $65 to fill up the SUV.  Now if diesel would just follow suit alittle faster, maybe consumer prices would drop alittle faster too.  I have to agree with the speculator comment.
Here fishy...fishy...fishy

Lol, I traded off my gas guzzler pickup for a higher mileage aztec when it cost me damn near 100 bucks to fill up a few years back. Now I wish I had it back. ;) Now I can fill the aztec for around 33 bucks but it's only got an 18 gallon tank. Now I don't look for gas to go back up for quite some time. Probably not until the stock market goes back over 10,000. What with congress screwing up the bailout I don't see that happening for a long time.
