2008 Political forcast
« on: July 01, 2008, 10:45:58 AM »
In Just one Year:

This email comes in three parts.

Part 1:

In just one year. Remember the election in 2006? Thought you might like to read the following. A little over one year ago:

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;

2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;

3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:

1) Consumer confidence plummets;

2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3.50 a gallon;

3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);

4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);

5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars;

6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

America voted for change in 2006? and we got it!

Remember it's Congress that makes law not the President. He has to work with what's handed to him.

Quote of the Day........'My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it.' -- Barack Obama

Part 2:

Taxes... Whether Democrat or a Republican you will find these statistics enlightening and amazing.

www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/151.html

Taxes under Clinton 1999 Taxes under Bush 2008

Single making 30K - tax $8,400 Single making 30K - tax $4,500

Single making 50K - tax $14,000 Single making 50K - tax $12,500

Single making 75K - tax $23,250 Single making 75K - tax $18,750

Married making 60K - tax $16,800 Married making 60K- tax $9,000

Married making 75K - tax $21,000 Married making 75K - tax $18,750

Married making 125K - tax $38,750 Married making 125K - tax $31,250

Both Democratic candidates will return to the higher tax rates.

It is amazing how many people that fall into the categories above think Bush is screwing them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever. If Obama or Hillary are elected, they both say they will repeal the Bush tax cuts and a good portion of the people that fall into the categories above can't wait for it to happen. This is like the movie The Sting with Paul Newman; you scam somebody out of
some money and they don't even know what happened.

PART 3:

You think the war in Iraq is costing us too much?

Read this: Boy, am I confused. I have been hammered with the propaganda that it is the Iraq war and the war on terror that is bankrupting us. I now find that to be RIDICULOUS. I hope the following 14 reasons are forwarded over and over again until they are read so many times that the reader gets sick of reading them. I have included the URL's for verification of all the following facts:

1. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year by state governments. Verify at: http://tinyurl.com/zob77

2. $2.2 Billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens. Verify at: http://www.cis..org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html

3. $2.5 Billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens. Verify at: http://www.cis..org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html

4. $12 Billion dollars a year is spent on primary and secondary school education for children here illegally and they cannot speak a word of English! Verify at: http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt..0.html

5. $17 Billion dollars a year is spent for education for the American-born children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies. Verify at: http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt..01html

6. $3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens. Verify at: http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt..01html

aliens for Welfare & social services by the American taxpayers. Verify at: http://premium.cnn.com/TRANSCIPTS/0610/29/ldt.01.html

9. $200 Billion Dollars a year in suppressed American wages are caused by the illegal aliens. Verify at: http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt..01html

10. The illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that's two and a half times that of white non-illegal aliens. In particular, their children, are going to make a huge additional crime problem in the U.S . Verify at: http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0606/12/ldt...01.html

11. During the year of 2005 there were 4 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens that crossed our Southern Border also, as many as 19,500 illegal aliens from Terrorist Countries. Millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroin and marijuana, crossed into the U. S. from the Southern border. Verify at: Homeland Security Report: http://tinyurl.com/t9sht

12. The National Policy Institute, estimated that the total cost of mass deportation would be between $206 and $230 billion or an average cost of between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five year period. Verify at: http://www.nationalpolicyinstitute.org/pdf/deportationpdf

13. In 2006 illegal aliens sent home $45 BILLION in remittances back to their countries of origin. Verify at: http://www.rense.com/general75/niht.htm

14. The Dark Side of Illegal Immigration: Nearly One Million Sex Crimes Committed by Illegal Immigrants In The United States . Verify at: http://www.drdsk.com/articleshtml

The total cost is a whopping $338.3 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR. Are we THAT stupid? If this doesn't bother you then just delete the message. If, on the other hand, if it does raise the hair on the back of your neck, I hope you forward it to every legal resident in the country
including every representative in Washington , D.C. - five times a week for as long as it takes to restore some semblance of intelligence in our policies and enforcement thereof.

Um, ya left out a few things like illegal govt interception of phone calls and mail Torture at the Gitmo Gulag and the fact Bush's buddies got most of the tax cuts, that Haliburton has overbilled the US by billions(Cheney), that conditions in Iraq regarding food, water, electricity and oil are worse than before we invaded them for their oil.

Ya also left ouit that the price of corn doubled due to gasahol so the price of food went up, that under Clinton the country had some workdwide respect and under Bush we are hated world wide, Bill only screwed Monica, Bush screwed us all excpet the top 1%.

Somewhere the fact that more lies have been told by this govt than any other, all the way back to Nixon, has been left out. Lol, the only reason Bush cut taxes and gave rebates was to take the publics mind off of what was really happening.

If you're smart you vote Libertarian, If you're stupid and want more of the same shit vote Republican or Democrat. Ya see, voting Libertarian is a major change and even Barack should be able to get behind that.

Lol, also missing is the fact that under Clinton few people in the military were killed, the budget was balanced and things were a hell of a lot better than today.

However it's not the politicians to blame, we elected them. The office of the president is the equal of the supreme court and congress and Bush can veto anythhing he wants to. Pork for his buddies doesn't get vetod. Uh, executive orders also seem to be missing, that's how Bush got the illegal reading of phone and emails.

Plenty of blame to go around, starting with all those who voted for the Republicans in 2004. ;) I like politics as it's something to argue about.  ;D ;D

WTF are you smoking TLA...If we invaded them for their oil....where the FU%& is it?  They have newer schools, public buildings and museums now (former palaces) hell each of them bastards are running around with a cell phone now since they have been liberated from the power of that fu@&in madman and his two brothers.  Dont forget, they enialated 5000 people a month.  And maybe if some of the liberals that keep vomiting these untrue stats on everyone would feel differently if it was their son or daughter that bearded wacko ran through that pop bottle shredder feet first and you stood there and watched them scream as they were grinded into mush...alll because you spoke out against sadam or some other stupid act they considerd serious enough to kill your kids or siblings....cmon..STOP DRINKING THE KOOL AID.  3 of the biggest weapons of mass destruction in the middle east were eliminated thanks the the US military.  Soon the time will come when the UN will realize they arent shit without us and they cant stop two flies from fighting without us.  Then maybe they will see that we were serving the betterment of man kind when we wasted sadam and his regime....next up..Iran...and who do you suppose the UN is going to call when that pissant gets out of line and they want him taken care of...Belgium?...Australia?...guess again.

J.H., it does not surprise me that you would support something that is so totally a f***ed up. lol There are dictators all over the world that are threats to us and are killing, raping, destroying the lives of innocent women, children, and men. Dictators must show strength and power, they do so by building fear and terror into their people.

The war is about a long term presence in the middle east, oil, bush, cheney, haliburton, and ??? These guys had to see a future benefit for themselves and their closest followers or we wouldn't be there!!!

If it was about a threat to our country, why didn't we bomb korea? They are a bigger threat. We could of bombed all of the husseins compounds and he would of ended up like kadafi, and libya.

You think its weird I support killing sadam and his inbred kids?...Im not for Bush...I never said I was pro bush...or for being in Iraq forever...but to not acknowledge that something good came from removing SADAM...and by doing it, setting an example to the other ruthless misdirected leaders in Iran and North Korea...Venezuala, Darfur, etc.  If they think that the US isnt prepared to be the peace keeping factor in the UN and in the world and be willing to remove these powers when they rear their ugly heads......Then they will move forward with missions of wiping Israel and other "Infidel" countries off the maps.

IF ...and its a big if as far as I am concerned, Obama was to win an election and be president, he would remove all troops from IRAQ immediately.  Once Iran over runs a now unsupported democracy in Iraq and invades and establishes control of the oil fields and the land...Obama will try to diffuse the situation with "talking".  And he will talk talk talk...and short of negotiating with terrorists, he will get nowhere....the UN will impose sanctions and more sanctions...and realize they are terrorists and dont hold up their end of those deals they make...and eventually when they attack Israel or show they are getting ready to attack Israel....which WILL HAPPEN if IRAN takes control of Iraq...We will have no choice but to move troops back in...except this time...we have no foot hold...we are at square one...if we leave Iraq ...you can mark my words...we will be back in IRAQ within 5 years regardless of who is in the Whitehouse.  JMO

Don't churn my words...Your interpetation of others opinions are ignorant at best. lol If you would please learn to just state you own opinion. lol I never said I didn't support killing the husseins or that it is weird, quite the contrary.

We will have troops in Iraq for our lifetimes regardless who's president.

Israel will be the first to attack Iran, and we will support them. Maybe sooner rather than later.

I will not vote for a republican pres. this election!!!

ROTF, I love revisonist hostory. It's actually quite amusing. Please, enlightend me oh great seer about the 3 WMDs we destroyed. Seems the CIA and Military Intelligence don't agree with you, nor do any of the news media(Including Fox).

Lol, it's your attitude that makes us universally hated. How are we serving the betterment of mankind? Getting rid of one little rinky dink dictator with more balls than brains. If it's helping people you want to do maybe we ought to start in Africa, they need us a hell of a lot worse than Iraq does.

I'm sure glad the Iraqis are so jubilant over the fact they now have empty museums and zoos and can use them for other things. I think they'd rather have the level of clean water and electricity they had before. Heh, it's estimated it will be another 3 years before they can even begin pumping oil at their pre war rates.

BTW, if you don't see the coorelation between the price of oil now and what it used to be and the USA being in IRAQ you been reading the wrong papers. Shit, the oil companies make more speculating in oil than they do from buying and refining oil. Oh, BTW, who do you think is going to redevelop Iraws oil fields?

Never mind the fact the IRAQ war is bringing oil companies billions in extra revenue. There's more than one way to get rich and their oil holings in this country alone have appreciated by trillions of dollars with the rise in the price of oil.

Quit using such myopic focus, see the whole picture and also quit thinking such shrt term, look at what oil comapanies are going to have in the coming 20 years. Not everything done is for the short term and long term makes more money than shrt term 90% of the time.

The OPEC cartel and the oil companies are now in control of the US economy. Working well isn't it. Thanks to Bush, he's done a great job. Hopefully we've learned to never, ever elect another cocaine sniffing ex drunk as president. About the only thing worse would be Dead Eye Cheney having the job. Oh, wait, I kinda think he's the one running things anyway.

Lol, hopefully the republicans send us an extra tax rebate so we can buy food as we sure as hell can't afford gas.

BTW, you ever hear of paragraphs? It dopes make things easier to read.

Im pretty sure they all agree that we did indeed kill Saddam and his two sons.  Even your one way full spin liberal media admit that.  They killed more people on a monthly basis than the terrosists did on 9/11.  Thats not fiction...thats fact.

You said in your last post "and also quit thinking such shrt term"....the liberals say dont drill Anwar and other oil rich areas here at home....they've been saying it for years....if we do now, it will be years before we see the oil/gas results...but if we would of done it 10 years ago instead of all the tree hugging carabou loving watermelons standing in the way of it...we would be COMPLETELY foreign oil free. That is thinking short term... when they cant see the benefits of ridding ourselves of foreign oil dependency 10 to 20 years ago instead of worrying about the spotted owl or whatever critter is calling the arctic tundra home. 10 million snow geese can destroy it and bury it in a foot of goose shit but we cant drill holes there...lol  We would be able to seal up the place like you want to...bring the boys home and screw everyone else....I agree..I'd love to do that if the oil producing countries of the world didnt have us by the short hairs.  Anyways.,...I do agree to disagree without anyone attacking anyone and getting nasty.  And I do apologize if this got too personal....Th9is subject will always attract different views.  Its not likely anything said on this forum is going to win anyone over from one side to the other.
