1000 Blackbirds fell out of the sky in Arkansas
« on: January 02, 2011, 09:54:06 AM »
I found this to be interesting. Over 1000 black birds just fell out of the sky in Arkansas on New Years eve. Maybe they were just to drunk to fly but I doubt it. Article says it's not uncommon but it's the first time I ever heard of a whole flock of birds just falling out of the sky. http://www.cnn.com/2011/US/01/02/arkansas.falling.birds/

Seems it was more like 5000 birds in Arkansas plus 100,000 fish. This article asks some really good questions and brings up something I never really thought about. http://www.naturalnews.com/030914_dead_fish_birds.html The most interesting being how did 100,000 fish all die at the same time from a disease or virus? We are all outdoorsmen and have seen fish kills before but this one is different.

When animals, fish or people get sick from a germ or virus they don't all die at once. The one who got it first die first and the ones who got it last, die last. The whole damn group of sick animals, people or fish doesn't all die at once. That makes the disease explanation for the fish kill just a tad suspicious.

Seems to be going on world wide too. That's the bothersome part.

Seriously freaky!
The world is largely passive.  Predators have an edge....and I LIKE THAT!

Fireworks may have been the cause in one case.
Propane canons however don't seem to scare them enough to die when they are out eating someones grain field.

Lol, I kinda doubt the fireworks explanation. Nor do I think they got scared and ran into each other. Nor do I think they hit a wire. Nor do I buy the lightning explanation as the birds in Arkansas were dead in a square mile area. They don't fly high enough to for high altitude hail to be a problem.

I can buy the 100K fish at once if they had some kind of virus and water temnp dropped greatly within a day or so and stressed them but as a general sickness with out some greater stress, nope, highly unlikely.

One thing I'm fairry sure of, it was city people that wrote the article because outdoors people know better.

Real interesting wierdness.

Now we get 200 dead cows in Wisconsin. Seems the animals dying are getting larger. Hopefully the problems won't move to humans. Wierd stuff tho. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/01/18/200-dead-cows-wisconsin_n_810248.html

Well, the arkansas GFP autopsied 15 of the blackbirds that died in Ar. Lol, supposedly died from blunt force trauma after being scared by loud noises. I'm not much of a conspiracy therorist but I sure as hell don't believe that one. I suspect city people will believe that lie but country people sure as hell won't.

Supossedly the noise scared them so bad they flew full speed into the sides of peoples houses, trees, poles, etc. Yet no one has reported any birds banging into their house.

Obviously when a bird falls 500 to 1000 feet it's going to have blunt force trauma when it hits the ground.
