Why no reports, (bait box)

I cant believe the bait box is right next to lake thompson and they dont ever report. You know we try to stay there every time we go fishing but have chose not to because they dont ever have any reports. The last time the BaitBabe had a report it was on DEC 19, 2011. I guess if I was in that business I would update twice a week, just like Doug at sportsmans cove. I think they are not keeping us informed. Even on the radio show out of watertown from Don he had the guy on from the bait box and all he said was shaffers, well shaffers was biting 3 weeks ago, you cant tell me they dont have any other reports. Keep us informed and we will support you, but a month and a half without a report.
As the guys at ESPN say, "Come on Man"

I was reading Fourms on another site. And they were saying the Waubay and Bitter lakes are doing pretty good. with 10-16 inch ice. Beening catching good perch in a few hours-A whole day hit and misses on Walleyes and Northerns. That is the reports that I heard.

You should go and try it and then let everybody know how you did.

Sorry Pluginit it's you that deserve's the "come on man" award.
1. for coming on the site and crying because no one is telling you where to fish.
2. for trying to plug someone else's site on this site...I took a peak at sportsmans cove and it's no better then this site...their report says a few fish here and there on Thompson....well thats prolly true of 75% of the lakes in SD right now.
3. if you actually stopped in to the bait box and talked to them you'd know there isn't alot of reports from people stopping in to the bait box because the fish aren't hitting fast and furious right now. Would you be happier if they posted what every single person who stopped in said?
4. really come on man if your catching a bunch of fish are you going to go to your local bait shop and point out exactly where you caught them on a map...many people lie about where they were fishing because they don't want tons of people flocking to their honey hole or they wait until the bite die's down and then tell people about it.
5. your comment "Keep us informed and we will support you"....so what when Doug tells you the fish are biting some where and you don't get a nibble are you gonna stop supporting him?
Come on man, these forum's aren't required by any of the many business's that run them, keep attacking them with posts like yours and you may end up doing like people did in the old days b4 the internet was around...driving out to the lake and finding out for yourself if the fish are biting.
Personally I'll still be going to the bait box not because of reports they post here or give in the store but because they are good, nice people who support us outdoorsmen in their own way.

Don't get me wrong I believe in freedom of speech and all, but to come on this forum and have your first post be directed as a complaint toward a business that has supported these forums from the beginning justifies being deleted to guest status in my opinion..... I totally agree with sideshow on this one.
And correct me if I am wrong eagleblood, but you were getting some pretty good information on the Bitter lake post earlier to be pluggin another site on this one as well.

That was very well put sideshow! The bait box is a small local business that we all need to support! their job is to sell us bait and tackle, our job is to do the fishing

Sideshow you put into words what i've been thinking for days now very well put. This is a forum for sportsmen not a guide service. One of the best things about ice fishing is being the first one to find the so called honey hole.
