 hi all i was wondering if anyone out there is aware of and uses the salmo chubby darters for ice fishing i have heard alot about them as far as being great for perch and was wondering if anyone has tried them around here and if so with any luck? and also you wouldnt be able to use them open water would you? im tryin to figure out if it is worth spending the seven dollars just to get one.

I will probly get beat around for saying this but i personally think they are way overrated. I have tried them on a couple different occasions and caught just as many if not more fish on my other lines as i did on that expensive thing.

i have had a lot of luck with them on lake vermillon with a minnow head and they seam to work good for big fish. i have tried for perch but they only work when there biting.

They only work when they are biting, that makes sense.  LOL

#6 salmos wouldnt that be a little big for ice fishing? not sure how big a #6 would be for sure.
