just thought let everyone know there is an emergency lake meeting this sat am at 10. at northshore bar and grill.
sandbagging will be done afterwards. possibly state and local officials and local residents will be there. sounds like lake association has corp of engineers looking into the problem as well. come and take a listen if you are interested.

Here is a link to historic levels.

Will lose a few roads around there to the water again at this rate.

Lol, everyone complained for a few years about low water. Be careful what you wish for, you might get it.

Ya, TLA, I didn't see any comments above about people wishing for anything.

TLA, I remember when some were questioning whether water was being let out of Thompson and that someone should stop em! I know you don't mean any harm.

The lake was down some 8-10 feet. It is now near full. It may flood big time. Folks that bought land on the shore may lose their exclusive piece of property and cabin. Lakes and rivers flood since the mechanism is water. I don't see a problem. When the lake gets full it will drain to somewhere - point of reference is Devils Lake. If you want a lake shore property with your cabin than you take the risk when the water rises. I don't think any Corp of Engineers money should be spent - or any tax payer money. Why not remove the shore clutter and create a fishing area? It is the same as building a house in the river bottom except most of these are summer cabins. I say wash them away!
