Ive heard brush is bout 3 to 4 but that is all i have heard. I know if you are going to go out on brush to use extreme caution cause half the lake was still open 2 days ago so it cant be that thick yet along with whitewood, that was half open on sunday.

The ice was about 1.5-2 inches on Sunday on small, shallow bodies of water (Interstate pond and some of the sloughs).  Most of the time it was strong enough to support my weight.  After these 2 days though, I wouldn't be surprise to see it 3-5 inches.  But like people are saying, you still got to be careful.

Some guy drove out on Waubay yesterday.  He didn't make it home.

The guy wasn't trying to ice fish.  He was driving to fast and lost control and skidded out onto Waubay Lake and then fell through according to KSFY.

Hopefully nobody is that stupid to start driving on the ice yet, but it wouldn't suprise me either, you know how it is, a guy just has to get out there and catch that fish....don't be stupid this year guys.  There is plenty of time to fish and plenty of fish to catch.

Is the clarity better on Whitewood this year?  I could never seem to see more than a couple of inches with the camera.
