Friends of mine are camping at Fort Thompson and fishing today and tomorrow.  They said there are over 50 campers in the campground and they met plenty of boats leaving there yesterday on their way out.  Said they caught their limit today already.  Smallest one was 16.5 inches.  Fishing above the dam near North Bend Point.  Lots of boats on the river.

North Bend Point...would that be the same as the pump house?

The area I am talking about says hazard area just above the irrigation rings. Thats approx area of pump house.

north bend is the other side of the river directly across from the pump house. The ramp is unusable you have to put in at north shore or lower brule or iron nation.

I'm sure the boat ramp at West Bend is useable.  My cousin was there fishing 2 weeks ago.

North Bend Point is the point at North Bend.  One in the same.  Minnows and a jig worked best.  It is closer to West Bend.  Close to a half hour ride by boat from North Shore.

North Bend area was very kind again yesterday.  3 person limit of 17-19 inchers.

Still biting in the West Bend Area.  4 of us caught a limit Saturday.  Largest was 22 inches and 4 1/2 pounds.
