Hey....I love Jerry Springer......JK.  I have to agree that this site can get out of hand at times.  I even hate to admit I have added my 2 cents at times, but hopefully most of the circus is gone now.  If you really want to call a spade a spade though, look at some of the people you associate with on those other sites.  How can you be so hypocritical saying things are a springer show, when it is some of your associates coming over here under alias's and cutting and running...give me a effing break.  If someone went over to their site and behaved in that matter, would you say the same, or would you come to their defense?  I am sorry to see Gunner go, he seems like a very likeable person, but how do you defend people like Sparky trying to cause civil unrest.  I know people will defend him and say it wasn't him causing most of the problems lately, but I think the mod here is smart enough to figure that out.  Hopefully with the doldrums of winter just about behind us, we can get on to something more serious.....open water fishing.......

You remind me of the parent who comes to their childs defense every time their innocent little kid gets kicked out of school. You blame it on the school/teacher rather than the problem.

I don't believe in posting names on public forums. Mine or yours. No viruses here. Haven't had one in years. Your not getting them from pms, and I don't know of any members sending e-mails to each other. Maybe better blame it on the sites you visit. etc...

Somedays this place is to funny for words. No one likes it when I let things go, no one likes it when I stop things. Admins are always the bad guy. People bitched about Jeff, a person I don't know, so when he applied I approved him as I think he has a right to respond. People bitched about that too. Jeff has been  polite and respectful and hasn't caused me any problems.

None of us agree all the time but I respect your rights to disagree. I don't like censorship but now and then I do it. Has to be pretty much over the top to get banned. Been banned once and come in with a new name and IP I'll probably let you in on the theory that you are an adult and should have learned your lesson. After that, no chances, no warnings. Just gone.

I don't believe in protecting people from their own stupidity so most posts stand when I ban someone. They had the nerve to post it so let it stay so people can see what they are and what they stand for. There's also a legal reason for it. If I interfere to much I become liable for what y'all say and then have to remove every little thing that MIGHT upset someone.

If I keep a hands off approach and let things be you are liable and not me. To me it's pretty simple, don't make stupid posts and no one will know how stupid you are. Think before you type.

As for sucking up to me. Good luck if you think that will help. It won't. Hell, I fired my best friend once. Fired my dad once too. Call me names? Heh, doesn't bother me, I've been called worse.

Here's a url where you can get the forum software and run your own board just like this one. SMF Forum it's free. Here's another free one but it's a blog. Blogger. Can't afford to pay for hosting then do a search on "free hosts" and someone will host it for you for free.

Blogspot is free, a wordpress blog is free and so is hosting for those two. You can put up your own blog at myspace.com and at Yahoo, too, all for free. Don't like it here and don't like the way it's run then go to one orf those and start your own. If I was that unhappy, I would. Not only would I, I have in the past.

Play nice most of the time you'll be here for a long time with no problem. Don't be nice and you'll be gone.

I personally don't ice fish a whole lot, but love open water fishing and certainly looking forward to ice out. I'm just passing the time reading all this.
I can't wait to get on here to read what's going on in the circus today.  Passes the time away and I laugh the whole way through while reading all the posts.  Most of us know it's just like a bunch of old fishermen sitting around having coffee and shooting the --it.  Heck, I think they'd find a reason to argue over which size hook to use. 
People want to read about fishing, start a thread about fishing.
I'm still chuckling.
