I always called it Fox Entertainment. News is factual. ROTF, if O'reily ever met a fact, he wouldn't recognize it.

On that note the others should probably be called entertainment, too. Not a lot of facts reported anywhere, anymore. Just lots of speculation, spin and misleading BS. All of the news outlets should be ashamed.

Only thing I know is the climate is changing. I can see that for myself just in the changes that have happened within my years on earth. What's causing it? I have no clue for sure. Have the poles been ice free before? Certainly. Why? No clue from me.

What I do know is you can't take the data from just a few months and say that climate change is over and we are back to normal.

What is normal - we had a mini ice age 10,000 years ago - not long in geological time?  The climate is warming up - but not as warm as it was during the dinosaur era.  I don't think you can take a 100 years data and prove anything.  There are many forces playing the global warming banjo for their own self serving interest.

If it was a little warmer here TLA wouldn't be in the bayou.  And we wouldn't need an icehouse.

i agree. the scientists that calculate all of this data dont have enough facts to make an accurate finding. most of thier findings are on theory. they have proven that greenhouse gasses can cause climate change but i dont think we could ever see a polar ice meltoff in the next 1000 years. im sure i will be ice fishing for the rest of my life.

Ice - I don't believe they have proven greenhouse gasses cause global warming.  The human population contributes less than .3% of the green house gases.  I believe I read that cow flatuence contributes more greenhouse gas than coal plants.  So, should we kill all the cows and eat soyburgers and tofu?

As far as polar meltoff the Hudson Bay has the deepest ice in a 100 years.  And China had the coldest winter in a 100 years.  Where is AL??

There was a mini ice age about 500 years ago when it was way colder than normal for 400 years. The year without a summer was in the 1800s. If you want more info on that you can do a search on "year withut summer" and you'll find lots of info.

Seems methane escaping from the ocean is also a problem. Ice cores show a remarkabe rise in greenhouse gases in the last 100 to 125 years or so, to the highest levels ever recorded whee they took the core samples from.

Something is going on but whether humans are causing it or it's a natural series of events hasn't been proven to my satisfaction yet. No doubt something is happening but the cause of it is in serious doubt, at least with me.

Check back in about 1000 years and we may know more by then.
