At long last the snow geese have moved in after holding up in Northern SD for awhile. The snow geese are here now and the hunting has been terrific. The snow geesse came in a couple of days ago and more are expected. Hunting will just get better until they leave.
Not many ducks coming thru yet but they will come eventually. A few Canadians coming thru too.
This is a great time of year in South Dakota. You can get up early and get you a whitetail deer, go out after that and get a limit of snow geese and if that’s not enough you should have time to get a limit of pheasants in the afternoon. Then if you’re really lucky you might try some walleye fishing just before and after sundown.
It would make someone a great day to limit out on all four of those. I’m sure it’s been done before and will be done again. I just haven’t heard about it. If you’ve managed that nice little trick let the rest of us know.
