Pheasant hunting in South Dakota is off to a great start and is just going to get better as more of the cornfields are harvested. There have been lots of people out hunting for whitetail deer also and they have been having some good success. Hunters are alo getting some geese but the major migrations haven’t really started yet. There are a few snows and blues around but the best goose hunting is still yet to come. This is a great time of year to live in South Dakota due to all the great hunting and the great fishing that happens in the fall. Most of our fisherman turn into hunters during Pheasant and Goose hunting season but basically they are all waiting for the lakes to freeze so they can do some ince fishing.
