I recently decided to start carp fishing again and I was amazed just how much technology of carp fishing has come along since I last went. It was some time ago since I went but following a visit to the tackle shop it was great to see all of the new tackle that is used to catch carp these days. Bait alarms, advanced rods and reels, all of the new rigs, braids, end tackle it really has come a long way since I was a boy. The most outrageous piece of tackle I see was a baitboat. A remote controlled boat that takes out your hook and a handful of free offerings and drops it anywhere you like. Genius I thought, I must have one of these. Straight-away I got home and started doing some research on the different types of baitboats.
There are so many on the market it was difficult to choose which one was the best. I decided to go for the viper mk3 baitboat in the end as I liked all of the features that came standard. You can also buy add on fish finders and GPS for these baitboats. Hopefully the investment in a baitboat will prove its worth and give me some great carp fishing success. Time will tell.
