Inflatable boats are often used for fishing and rafting, but when you think outside the box, you can do a lot more with them. Here are 3 memory making ideas for you and your family.
1. Picture perfect. Fall and Spring are great times of year to head out to your favorite lake with camera in hand. In fall, pick a day when the colors of the autumn leaves have turned, and hop in your inflatable boat. You will be amazed and delighted with your peak of the season lakeside or riverside photos. In springtime, get ready for colorful photos of wild blossoms. There are not as many people on a lake in off season, so you will be in for a quiet and relaxing time to boot.
2. Explore along the shore. You can go for a great all day family adventure on a lake or river. Pack along a lunch, some bug spray, and set out for an expedition in your RST Marine Navigator inflatable boat. You can investigate the lily pads and small inlets of a lake or river bed. You can even dock on the opposite side of the water and go for a hike. You will see fish, frogs, turtles, and all kinds of bugs and birds. Along the coast, you can spot local wildlife and even farm animals. This is always exciting for adults and kids alike.
3. Bring on the berries. I grew up spending summers on a lake in Pennsylvania and have fond memories of berry picking. We would take the boat out in the spring and dock about half a mile down in a big field and go strawberry picking. Then mom would make jam. In the late summer, we picked blueberries all along the shore of the lake. We’d head out early in the morning with some buckets, and then we’d have delicious blueberry pancakes for breakfast.
