It’s fall and the big walleyes and big northerns will be biting as the weather changes and gets colder. If you fish northern pike it’s time to dig out the Dr. Juice Northern and go shore fishing for some very large northerns.
Shore fishing for walleyes is also very good starting about 1/2 hour before sunset and going for a couple of hours after the sun sets. It’s always been my most productive time of the year for walleyes and particularly huge walleyes.
Because it’s fall people are also thinking of hunting and I know there are several people in the area out chasing snow geese. While it’s local populations of geese the hunting can still be good. Not as good as when the migration south finally starts but good enough to keep people interested in hunting geese.
Pheasant hunters are also out scouting around for some of the better places to hunt. Once again this year the pheasants are plentiful and hunting pheasands should be great this fall.
I exp-ect this to be one of the better years for fall fishing and hunting. Lol, don’t forget it’s almost time to start checking your ice fishing house and tackle too. Trying to get the auger started when it’s 10 below is a pita so get all of your gear checked and fixed before it gets to cold.
Good hunting and good fishing to you all.
